Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has expressed its condolences and solidarity with the Republic of the Philippines following a tragic ferry accident off the southern Philippine province of Basilan. The unfortunate event resulted in several fatalities, with others reported missing.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement conveying heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims. The UAE extended its sentiments to the government and people of the Philippines, standing with them in this time of tragedy.
